How To Train Your Pet Dog and Children
Adult Foundation Course
Classes for Adults Only: 3 x 2 hour classes (without your dog) + 1 x 2 hour class (with your dog)
In preparation for the Family Foundation Course adults (over 18) are required to take this course to learn basic dog training and management skills (no children on this one to give the adults a chance to fully focus on developing their own skills). The adults can then help the children to practice their new skills with dogs when away from the classes.
The outcome will be that adults develop basic dog training skills, and skills to train their children in safe dog management skills, using “reward” and fun based methods, producing a comfortable, safe and mutually respectful environment for children, adults and dogs to co-exist; preventing bites and accidental injuries.
